I keep getting the following message appearing when trying to view videos on You Tube and other sites, despite as far as I know I have the latest version installed according to the manufacturers sites.

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

Is there any way of overcoming this or do I have to pay a site to update my files? I have tried follwing the instructions in Internet Options and Security but nothing seems to work.:nenau

TIA

Mika

Achim, yes I have heard of GOOGLE, the Adobe and Java sites say my PC has the latest software, but somehow something is stopping them from running properly:nenau

Load your browser, presumably Internet Explorer 6 or 7.

Go to the 'Tools' drop down menu
Select 'Manage Add-Ons'
Go to 'Enable or Disable add-ons'

Look in the pane under disabled add-ons to see if Adobe Flash player or Java are diasbled. If they are, highlight them by clicking on them. Then click 'enable' at the bottom under 'Settings'.

Your browser should now display Adobe Flash content. A restart may be required.

Enjoy.

BTW if you were a subscribed site member I could have PM'd you these details direct to your inbox.

Sometimes you have to use the adobe software tool which is available on their site to completely uninstall the old version before you install the latest version or you contine you to get errors like you describe.
