Joe McNamara - a hero?

My point was, that in the early 90's the banks had a prudent lending policy. It was hard to get a loan. The qualifying bar was set very high, so in order to get over it, everyone had to pad out the income cert. We got the loan and paid it off without any drama. No false economy there.

Not having a go Corporal, agree with what you said, but can any one please tell where all this money came from to make a two up two house in inner city Dublin worth 450 k ??? Flase economy there or am i missing something ???

Sorry Celt, I thought you we're specifically referring to me.

To answer your question, no, I don't think anyone really knows why a 4 bedroom semi detached house in the suburbs of Cork sold a few years ago for €1,000,000!!!!

I suspect the twin evils of greed and stupidy may be in there somewhere.
