check if you put the chip in the correct way should have a groove in it at one end should go to the nearest to the casing , or you have any other adapters in it should go on a black flat part etc

Either damaged chip or inserted wrong way.

Running stage 8 and so far so very sweet. At about 400 miles everything settled nicely and really started to notice the extra range in the gears.

Stage 9 installed and up and running

I installed a stage 9 to my 1999 R1100GS Remus Ti and decat on Sunday

Wow, what a difference.

Smoother, more responsive and more flexible. By the seat of the pants it also feels more powerful and has lost it's albeit very minor surge on a part throttle. Now let's see how the fuel consumption works out.

The only tiny neg. is that the tickover has gone up to 1,500 rpm. I'm assuming that this will sort itself out

But so far, I'm very pleased

im using a stage 8 on my single spark gs1150 not bad I say .

It's a stage 9 , but the issue is still there . But apart from that she goes 100% better than stock .
I am in the the middle of fuses out chip out . Then try again . John is following , so I'll report my findings back to John. May be a dud chip .

have to adjust them with vacuum gauges and turn the brass screws and it will not sort itself out I did mine works a treat

two brass screws on the throttle bodies on either side just the cables first then fine tune the idle with the brass screws but you must use vaccumm gauges good luck

The STage 9. Gives the rich AFR needed the de-cat system exhaust.

stage 8 report single spark r1150gs, say its not a bad chip but I find it abit lumpy at low revs im convinced using slightly more fuel ,to behonest I prefer the stage 4 I had on my twin spark r1150rt it was a lot smoother and not so much fuel being used ,just wondered if they do a stage 4 for a single spark 1150 or stage 5 , see what john says on the chips plus I did set up good with the gauges etc , with the stage 8 im filling up just a tad to early for my liking.
