Tuning Chip

Hi Folks

I have purchased a chip and want to know how to replace the old one. The bike is an early 1150gs, the ecu is removed as are the 4 screws at each corner, however I dont want to force the casings appart. Are the casings held together by any other means?

You'll need to force it the first time .... as they say .... in this case to break the silicon seal, it won't harm anything.

I pried them apart a few millimeters and ran a carpet blade around to cut the silicon. Just make sure you don't stick it in any further than the silicon. Be careful with the electronics inside.
Try to obtain a EMC safe environment when fiddling with the innards.

And make sure you get the little NOTCH the right way round !!
