Johns chip No9

Hi all. Are there any things to watch out for when fitting a Johns chip. I have the No9 for my R1100GS.....is this one meant to be compatible with the bike in standard form does anyone know please, as it came with the bike when purchased, but wasn’t fitted? Thanks

Make sure you have the NOTCH at the right end and good eyesight to make sure all the pins line up before pressing the chip home.
