Off for a couple of weeks in the Summer through a bit of Belgium which I tried last year when it was raining down through the Jura to Bardonnecchia around Briancon through Verdon to the Dordogne via some of the Balcony roads and places recommended here and then back.

I'll be staying a few days in Bardonecchia (Strada dell’Assietta / Colle delle Finestre, lower part of Colle del Sommeiller) Le Puy and Perigeux.

On day 6 if you come to Le Puy more via Privas there are some fantastic roads through the Ardèche, let me know if you want some pointers, it’s my stomping ground (y)
All suggestions gratefully received. I'll have a day in Le Puy so can explore the Ardeche.

first ever Gite holiday with young children was in Vogue - lovely area.
Subsequently visited region few times when flights to Rodez became an option.

Notwithstanding how the route has been put together, it’s going to take you through some stunning locations. Have a great trip!

I have moved the posts relating to inserting additional waypoints / MyRoute’s expand function into the GPS section.

This’ll keep the thread’s subject matter on track.

Hi Wapping, I’m doing a similar trip in may, down to Dijon Prenois for the coupe moto legends, the on south towards Nice, amble about there a couple of days then on to my pal in the Dordogne, just south of the river, a little place called St Pom Pont, handy for all the river sights. Then back north via Le Mans and the tunnel. Happy days

Try to fit in the Monte/Forte Jafferau while you are in Bardonecchia. It starts up the road at Salbertrands and has the best Napoleonic tunnel I have done in Alps and tops out at mountain top fort with great views.

Thanks Mike I'll try I am wary of the final approach to Jafferau to get the bikes on the roof.

Yes, tricky if you have a big bike. You don't have to ride to the very top. You can walk the last bit.

I’m really interested in those above plus Jafferau tunnel (Galleria dei Saraceni ?)
Unsure if my GSA unsuitable and tempted to a Desert X
A bike on the roof of Forte Jafferau would make my day

If you are after a Desert X I happen to have one for sale......
