Is pinking a common trait on the new bikes?
Dunno. Mine is the only EU 4 GS I've ridden.
I can anticipate the dealer response when I get there...

Thank you all for your advice and comments. Unfortunately where I bought the bike is 290 miles from home. Do you think I can get this checked under warranty at local dealer? If the fault is found to be with the last service could this be chargeable?

I have the 2017 1200 lc Rallye it’s as smooth as anything and goes like stink with none of the problems you describe
Anakee tyres are a little noisy Get it back and sorted by the dealer
Horses for courses. This thread is not about you. The disappointed new LC owner asked for advice. You may not like the advice but it is advice never less.
I own an LC GSA......... a bit boring if I may add but good. Not brilliant or awesome, just good.
I think BMW have now sold about 500,000 of these utterly useless, crap motorcycles![]()

think I will keep my old euro 3![]()
Me too . The only thing I’d recommend is get the down pipes that dump the stupid euro 4 noise valve and then she’s a goer

Funny you say that; I’m selling mine!![]()

Yeah and it's not about the 1290 either dickhead

How hard can you make this...
Funny that you should revert to personal insults. The option is there, if the op so wish, to sell his GS on and buy something else. Which inevitable will most probably happen. What he buys next will be whatever whenever. As I said, it is advice, he might not take it nor may he like your comments. Nowhere on here have I sang the praises of the 1290. Keep up at the back.
