Just changed front disks and ..

Hello there
I was wondering if you could let me know what you think of this.
At my last service I was told it was time to change my disks as they where a bit thin,
so rather than letting the garage do it ,
I ordered some brake disks and pads from braking.com and did it my self
the back disk and pads went on no problem did that weeks ago,
this weekend I got around to doing the front,
Do you think because the pads are thicker and the disks are thicker, that is why the wheel feels like it is not spining freely, it didn't spin freely before but there was less resistance when I spinned it by hand,
When I spin it now it feels thight but evenly thight , makes me think they are straight and not warped or so,
Oh and I did manage to feck up one of the bolts heads should I change all the bolts or just one ?
Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom telling where and what I should watch out for.

Front Wheel should spin freely. I recently had by front calipers rebuilt, and
shortly afterwards I replaced the front disks. If I spin the wheel with some
energy, it rotates approx 12 times before coming to rest.

mine likes its calipers cleaned around the pistons every now and then your thicker discs will have pushed more of the pistons and associated crap into the bores, making them stick a little, internally collapsing brake hoses can make the brakes drag too.

defo sticky pistons. How long since the last pad change?

I would take the pads out, put the old pads in and pump the lever to push the pistons out as far as the old pads will allow, then spray some brake cleaner in and around the caliper - wash them then drip some brake fluid over the pistons, push them back in and refit the new pads.

About one day since I changed the pads, I put new pads and disks on at the same time, but I didn't go to wild cleaning the pistons,
When I took off the old disks there were no rings between the old disk and the wheel, with the new set I got very thin rings which I used maybe that also has something to do with them being a bit thight
Tomorrow I have to go for a bit of a spin for work for 3 hours, so that means tonight I have to give them a bit of a clean to try and free it up a bit, I should have that special piston greese or oil somewhere

i have never had a disc braked bike wheel do that unless the pistons are pushed back

When I was busy taking out the old pads , before I took them out i used them to push open the pistons to make room for new disk and pads, and they seemed to widen smoothly without any resistance.
I have two mates with the same bike give or take the same year, I do use their bikes as a reference sometimes for things like this , I'll drop by one of their houses to take a look at the front wheel and see how theirs spin,

Originally I had seized calipers and a warped disk - So after calipers were rebuilt
the warped disk would snag once each revolution of the wheel. Once I fitted my new
disks front wheel spins freely until it gets tired
I am sure the nbr of revolutions will drop as caliper accumulates more road crap
The front wheel on the Blackbird just spins freely, so used that as a benchmark
for the GS
