Just curious about spark plugs.....

In an idle moment I just googled for "BMW GS1200 spark plug locations" as I was curious as to where the 2nd plug was for each cylinder.

But then I wondered how you set the spark gap on these modern twin electrode plugs as a set of feeler gauges isn't going to work.

They come preset and usually just get changed at service as far as i know , but you can get a wire type gauge to check them if required .
 
Ah yes, a wire gauge between the central electrode and the two edge ones would do the trick.

As I said it was just idle curiosity, I'm not intending to touch them :augie
