Just placed a deposit on the.......1150 GS Adventure instead of 1200 GS... The weight of the 1150 worries me slightly, ..
Good man - lovely bike. The weight "problem" is a bit of a myth in my opinion, and is only an issue if you have to pick it up, or when you have to manouvre it around a garage / car park. I had a Dakar before the Adventure, and believe it or not I find the Adventure easier to ride.

When I bought the bike, it looked and felt intimidating, but you'll get over that within a few days. You've just bought one of the best bikes in the world - I will be very surprised if you regret it. ;)

Hi EJ, thanks for the congratulations, mine will be in black though.

Will also put dayglow stickers on Panniers to be seen better, to avoid a car hitting me like last time on the KTM.

But no look, no see, I know.

Dear PY Cymru,

I live in New Tredegar, in the Rhymney Valley, 25 minutes from Caerphilly. And you?

I've just done the same!

First gear, tank, seat, riding position, stability, looks, instuments, ... everything except the engine and luggage on the Adventure suits me better than the 1200 GS

Change of plan.........

.........ended up getting an old 1100 GS instead, for various reasons, and am very pleased with it. Am waiting for the 1200 Adventure in the long run, but plan to keep the 1100 as a second bike.

Lets hope some car driver does not decide again to dash my plans of having two bikes.

Oh, the 1100 has the TKC 80 knobbly tyres on it.

1150Adv

Looks the part is the part its what GS ings all about who wants a lighter faster bike ...bigger the better
