The pannier racks with the single seat carrier and all the little bags to carry things.......the one above the rear light is for carrying a hoochie/groundsheet/shelter/bike cover.

good to see that u have got a good side stand fitted to the bike.
its the same one i have got on my bike and if work great and the bmw one that goes off the crash bars is crap as it leans over to for.

Please, where did you get the new sidestand, and the crash bars? Did Overland do all the mods ?
My PD's the same colour !! See you've still got the metal plug caps on -aren't they normally pretty unreliable ?
Bike looks good, but not too aerodynamic at the front !!!

How long before you get fed-up with the rattle of padlocks and bin 'em?:hide

Oh, and tape that spare throttle cable up on the right hand side:)

Good point Actually.

One of the things I will be changing will be the rear padlocks that secure the pannier lids, not because they are making any noise as they do not quite surprisingly. But because I always tend to have the " keep things simple " mentality.

So The rear ones are going and being replaced with a solid latch to hold the lid secure, and Im making some neoprene covers to go over the remaining locks to keep all the crap out of them.

Good eyes....the tapes coming out today!

Front Panniers

Ah

Just thought I would mention that I have fitted a set of Wolfman Baggage Front panniers to the bike and I am scooting about and seeing how well they stay secured on a wide tank BMW.

Used these on my Aussie trip to great success and I have found first hand how important it is to spread the weight out on the bike and ideally get some weight onto the front......to have an arse heavy bike in an isolated area on slimy mud is a little character building to say the least.

They are well made rubberised canvas with heat shields and are secured with a simple system of adjustable straps......I think they can contain about 10 litres each of kit......the down side is they tend to look like you are going for the Paris-Dakar look a little too hard.

If you are out and about on it in the week, i'll make you a cup of tea in exchange for a look around yer toy! I'd like a look at the side stand in particular :thumb2
