the closest colour i used is aluminium (halfords) - pretty good match

If (when) mine corrodes, I will use some fine wet and dry and etch primer followed by a thin coat of aluminium spray paint and a coat of lacquer.

Would be nice to get the exact colour

Look on the bright side. Maybe this time you'll get a black one!

It'll still corrode regardless of colour
