Just renewed

Same for me with Bennett’s . Noticed I was on auto-renewal and the price had gone up an extra £25 to £197 full comp for their rewards package. Well cancelled auto-renewal and told them I was shopping around.
They again sent me a new similar policy package which would be for £150.
On a 16yr old bike, living in the sticks, fully garaged, alarmed, etc.
Decided I still have time to shop around.

Renewal time again...

Bennetts are the existing broker with insurer AXA quoted £299. Changed bike mid term last year and paid total £179.

Rang them to ask why taking piss and quoted £150 with protected NCD same excess and no garage clause.

Better than I did then. Auto-renewal quote (which I swear I'd asked them not to do), with Legal cover was £242. Bennets online, with Legal cover, 182, like for like. Rang them up to point out that I didn't want to auto-renew but was looking for their online price - computer says no. Cancelled the renewal, purchased via the website. Makes you doubt even insuring with them.
