I have just (couple of hours ago anyway!) got back from a days test riding the GS & GSA back to back...was supposed to be testing the K13R & S back to back with the GS thrown in for good measure as I had test rode the GSA last week...:)
Well was told on arrival that the R was playing up, though to be honest, though I hadn't fallen in love with the GSA last week as i found it "guttless and empty" I had started to fall in love with the "life style"... And was busily planning mindless journeys..(last year I had done an iron butt on my Rune for the RBBLR and loved it!)... So found myself relieved that the R was out if action..:augie
Anyway went off on the GS...and bloody he'll, what a difference from how I remembered my test the previous week on the GSA.. Much more lively and nimble...and so small and narrow... Was even impressed with the screen protection... Also the annoying indicator switches were less irritating, still irritating just less so! :toungincheek
WOW! I loved it... So much so that when I got back I completely blew out the S and asked for the Adventurer.. And hey presto.. I was in love! Though heftier and slower, I found her planted and a good deal more comfortable than the standard GS.. Just felt so natural and confident on it..the size felt right (partly cos my other two bikes are huge!)... My only gripe was the engine was rougher (told this was due it it's low mileage as it had not had it's first service!) and the luggage system on the standard is nicer, well it seems to be for me, as it leaves the bike "cleaner" when removed!:nenau

So...it's a R1200GSA for me.. Just not sure to stretch and get the 30th jobbie..didn't like it at first, but now it's my favourite colour...:beerjug:
