Kinda herts/beds sort of
Just fitted one. I've not had chance to take my F650 for a blast. What can I expect?
More power?
Less MPG?

I do know it sounds better and revs better.

I've beem thinking about doing the same for my 800, be very interested to know how it goes

I fitted one at the same time as my Akro. More mid-range and top end, maybe slightly less at the bottom. No difference in fuel consumption.

I changed to k&n found it better at lower revs an a tad more smoother.

Just poped out to the supermarket for a couple of bits, anyway about a 10 mile round trip. It definitely felt smoother, and does seem to rev up easier. Low end acceleration felt a bit quicker.
I'll see how it goes but looks like £23 well spent. Just need to remind the mechanic when it goes for a service not to throw it out, then check the bill to make sure they haven't charged me for one.:thumb2

The K&N will allow the engine to breathe easier, and if fitted with a better end can, as an above comment, you will notice more of a difference. Normally just fittting the air filter will make little difference, its more cost efficient tho'

good choice!

BUT! You make an already lean mixture even leaner because the engine gets more air to breathe, the way to counteract this, is to mount an accellerator module, which makes the mixture richer. Search this forum! This results in a much smooter and responsive bike, and less viby too. Also the konking out that happens sometimes when you drop the clutch a little too quickly is solved, it pulls much better from low down. You"ll be surprised what this little engine is capable of!! :thumb2
