Haidihou. My 16 valve K smokes grey on accelerating and as my friend says, smells as two stroke. Any idea why? Driven only 145 thousen kilometers.

Not much info to go at from you description but:-
Whats the fuel consumption like?

May be running rich.
Air filter clogged up?

Mileage that high could also be smoke from worn rings mixed with unburnt fuel.

How much smoke blows out the back if you use the engine to de-accelerate down a long hill in gear and then accelerate.

Does it happen all the time during a trip or does it clear up after a few miles.

What is the oil level like?

Do you have an oil cooler?

Is this all the time or just after being left on the side stand ?

Thanks for asking.. Airfilter is not clogget. Smoke comes out when accelerating, smell is up always. In west coast Finland, we have not hills.... Fuel consumption is normal, about 6 litres/100km. Oil consuption is about 1liter/5000 kilometers.

I dont know about oil cooler. Bike is standard K100RS 1991 model. I keep oil level 3/4 of glass.

Valve guide oil seals ?

Bloody useless on the 16V models.
