misfires when accelerating hard

I notice that with heavy rain I loose ignition very fast. Could it be related? I will change the leads as son as I manage to find ones

question: with "R" plugs I should use cables without resistance right?

Certainly sounds like a HT fault,
Especially now you have mentioned the wet weather bit.
Out of interest,what ignition system is fitted?
