After much soul searching my buddies (ex-colleagues) KT1100LTS is up for for sale. He was on my bike team and this is the bike he was issued with on a ‘51’ plate, after he retired he managed to track it an auction house where it was decommissioned and has owned it ever since!… it is one of the last K1100Lts registered 0n 51 plate and in outstanding condition.
It flew through its recent MOT with no advisories
Its just run in at 62k and has always been garaged , everything works as it should and runs beautifully
It's had a new rear tyre and recent battery
It will come with an optimate charger along with a lot of spares for the bike. It’s located in East Sussex just to the East of Brighton. He’s not a member on here but is happy for me to pass his phone number on. He’s asking £2,500 which I think is fair considering both its condition and provenance!… his name is Paul and he’s on: 07903898393….
Regards… DG…

What superb "provenance". Bet this bike will still be running in 2050. Best of luck for him selling it

Stonking bikes had one back in the day as a patrol bike ,one of the best.
Good luck with the sale shouldn’t hang around long at that price.

That looks remarkably nice for the mileage, it certainly doesn’t look like the work bikes of today, obviously quality was much better.

I bought one from Dennis Teasdale in Thirsk. It was ex Humberside and had been T boned. The damage was confined to a buckled front wheel and some panel damage. Sourced all the parts I needed to convert it to civilian spec from Sherlocks and Motorworks, got the wheel repaired by Roy Thersby, and had all the panels filled and sprayed a BMW metallic blue by Ray Wilson in Northallerton.

It then took me all over Europe for the next four years, in complete comfort, making miles, countries even just pass by. Fantastic bikes.

A good friend of mine was a Traffic lad, he passed me on one once like I was stood still. When I got to my destination, he was stood having a tab. I asked him how he liked the big K, he pointed to a ground out left peg, and his worn down Altberg sole and said ‘they’re alright, go well for a big bike’ :)

I loved mine - was a stunning metallic grey, in superb condition. Seemed like it had a power band, amazing torque off the line - made you think 'boy this can hustle' - then absolutely took off from about 6k onwards. For such a big beast they do go. This looks lovely and worth every penny - it'll look a lot like that in 30 years given the quality of BMWs back then.

He has good taste in cars too with an E63s! :clap
