Has anyone heard the rumour that BMW are about to launch a new GS, a K1200GS ??? Any news ???

No I heard it was a K1200 engine/ gearbox same as the K1200GT but in the GS frame -- so a four cylinder 135 hp GS.

So - where did you hear it? From a source that would have access to reliable info? Certainly any pointers towards a replacement/enhancement to the GS range seem to be based on development of the boxer engine (see pics posted about 4 or 5 weeks ago). The K engine doesn't strike me as a likely power source for a bike that, by definition, needs high ground clearance....
