Having been mightily impressed by the K1300R (the naked one) have been looking out for the previous 1200 version at a good price. Been thinking that with the right screen and some luggage it could be something for me to move onto after my 1150 (which I dearly love, but have the twitch to change ;)
Shaft, heated grips, comfy and of course that engine....

Anyone with ownership experience of the K1200R - did you like it?

Sister-in-Law owned one till she sprogged :P

She let me ride it while it was still being run in - awesome bike with an engine that can tug from 30 in 6th (note used the word tug as pull does not really cover what it feels like when you open the throttle  )

I did find that I was searching for 7th gear at times - but that might have just been that I was used to the engine noise of a boxer :augie

All in all though a great bike, shame it is not still in the family for me to play on :roll

Yeah I've got one. Comfortable up to about 90 ish (abroad obviously):augie
Fast, great brakes, heavy steering but very stable. I love the front end but a lot of people don,t

I like the looks, love the bike but with one exception, the low speed fuelling is sh*t. Driving thro' town was seriously annoying.

However fitted a Power Commander and what a difference:bow. Not bothered putting on a dyno just loaded one of the supplied maps.

Typical BMW........ great bike but you have to finish it for them!

If you buy one budget for a PC111
