Might just buy a second bike instead - or a VFR1200 ... The power is absolutely phenomenal and the noise (it had Akras fitted) was wonderful - the speed was too much for an unfaired bike but the acceleration was fantastic. Now if the bars were a little raised and a bigger fairing...mmmhhh.
. The quick shifter is excellant once you get used to it. I did 3100 miles in 12 days in July on my 1200GS with my mate on his CB1300 (with no screen) and he coped fine so I am sure the R will cope, obviously you have to make allowances but you have to with all bikes one way or another. I say try one and try and get it for as long as you can. You WILL love itSven,
Do the R bars fit straight onto the S?
As I prefer the look of the S but prefer the wider bars on my R.
