K1600GT major service costs

My mate has just told me that he is expecting to pay circa £2000 for a major service on the K1600.

REALLY, can someone confirm this please

If he's talking about the 18K service I paid about £450 at my local dealer.

Nothing like. Andy E is very, very, much nearer the price, but as mine was effectively subsidised by some warranty work at the same time I can't give a precise sum.

Is your friend having lots of other things done at the same time? Maybe out of warranty work, tyres/brakes, new toys? Mind, it would have to be a lot of them to bridge that gap ....
