Kangaroo behaviour

First few mlles always fine but tends to behave under acceleration like a kangaroo on reasonably hard acceleration and then back ti=o normal. Any ideas ??

Sounds like a throttle cable issue. Check it is all seated correctly from handle bar down to throttle body. Maybe been a worn cable. Have they ever been changed ?

unfortunately not. the cables are well seated and moving freely

Surely it has to be an interruption of either fuel or ignition?

Problem solved, it was a faulty ballast box .........
