Keep or Build ?

16mm I'd guess but will check tomorrow

Yes OEM KTM
Obviously do your own research,
But iirc the ktm yokes have @15 mm offset,
The GS has 36 mm,
The forks are great with the correct yokes,
Standard ktm yokes on a para = shopping trolley with bugger all steering lock.
DRZ forks work well with only a spacer required to make them fit,
As do XR 650 forks, but both end up with a slightly restricted steering lock.
This might not seem like a biggy until you attempt a tight turn and end up in a heap on the tarmac, damhik🤬

Got square on it at the moment in good nick. I'd actually prefer a set of the round ones if I can find some. Cheers 👍
Pattern Peanut covers are cheap enough new.
Oem square ones are better for an off road bike as they are a lot thicker and less likely to crack.

Pulled the carbs off today. Striped and cleaned them up to see if the bike would run. Dropped the oil, sump off and made sure it wasn't full of sludge.
All was good so some cheap oil just to get it fired up.

There is a nice set of 40mm bings on it 😁
We're a bit grubby with the pilot jets blocked in both carbs.

Cleaned up quite nicely.
All the linkages are in good condition and I don't think they have been stripped before.

Also pulled the front cover to have a look and everything is mint. Don't think it's done a great deal to be honest.

I think there is a really great bike underneath a bit of muck there. Did you get any back story from the seller?
Not overly. Last i can make out from paperwork as it's all in German was it had a check in July 2012 where it was on 23000 kilometres. I'm sure it's been off the road since then. It has a Touratech imo-100 r300 with 12000 kilometres but that is also in German 🙈
Now it's running, I'll get it built up some style so I can get it UK registered and put an mot on it. I'll then have a go at building something nice out of it 😁

Oh Ye, Forgot to say.... pretty sure It's a 1 owner bike from new also...

As per OEM KTM they're 16mm offset so unless there's a good clearance to the tank and you want a quick steering bike you're into having new clamps made. The swept area of chrome is pretty good considering the miles these have done, I did refurb them once as the drop out springs had broken and I'm not sure they're that great now. Let me know if you're interested.

I have the ‘Prutser’ triple clamps on my rallye bike with DRZ forks. The yokes are designed by Baz at Hyperpro and they have the same offset as the original. Also have a 100mm extended mono swinging arm. Still saving up for a hyperpro rear shock but at my level of skill the Hagon works well enough.

Also had the White Power rear shock on my Paralever which is a horrible thing - way too stiff. Fortunately it exploded whilst still under warranty and I sold the replacement on whilst still in the box.

Thanks Snaf. They are looking at little worse for wear. I'll give those a miss thank you.
Looking at yokes and wp48 forks I think.
Cheers 👍

Yes I think you're right, just checking back and they came off for WP48's to go on in 2009. I think they'll be in the next scrap run.
