Keis X4 heated jacket with controller

Mine just arrived and works a treat. Very pleased with the kit. I ordered it with the BMW socket adaptor, so it plugs into either a standard size cigarette lighter socket or you can remove the end sleeve and it will then plug into the BMW bike socket....best of both worlds...

Three degrees below for the last two mornings. Short-sleeve shirt, Keis jacket and then BMW Tourance jacket with liner. Got too hot, had to back the Keis off from 5 down to 3!!

Excellent kit for not a lot of money - I had been planning to go to the NEC show and spend at least £120 on a heated jacket. Very well made with good quality materials.

Brother and I order a couple, they are an excellent piece of kit. Great value for money, brother has the small battery, which is supposed to last 3 hours and I went for the large battery, which is supposed to last 6 to 7 hours (ideal for those cold days flying the helicopter). Both very pleased with them, although I am sending mine back for a small, as the Medium is just slightly too big (brother ordered small which fits perfectly). As others have said, it needs to fit well to get the best benefit, worn over a thermal long sleeve vest.

Highly recommended and excellent value for money. :thumb2

The nice people at Motohaus have just sent me some KEiS heated gloves to use on the Heroes Legend which will start with a 2 day slog across France & Spain in early March.

I'll be testing them next weekend on the XC for some off roading and the 150 miles to and from motorway trip.

They seem like a great design that fits under my rally gloves OK

John A / mylovelyhorse. Do I assume correctly that you've left the fuse in line and just chopped off the terminals to fit the BM plug? Or, have you removed the fuse as well & are going to rely on the canbus? Just about to perform the minor surgery on mine that arrived today:-)

I will be relying on the canbus. The KEIS lead to plug in to the accessory socket isn't fused so why have one in a lead you knock up yourself?

Wrong I'm afraid :blast

The Keis lead with the accessory socket plug is fused, the fuse is inside the accessory plug itself.

Why anybody would wire stuff up to bike electrics especially heated clothing without a fuse to protect the circuit is beyond me :nenau

:(

Bought the EXO heated vest for £180 earlier this year ..

This looks like the same thing (ie not the crappy wire ones like gerber) for £100 less :blast

Also bought a medium when a tight fitting small is probably better for what you need it to do :blast

So it does. I do apologise o great one. It only landed on my doormat today.

Always a brilliant idea to post 'facts' when you aren't even in possession of the item you're posting about! :augie
