***Without prejudice***

I would like to thank all concerned but, seeing as neither Pamela nor myself attended this function (See 'Jim is Innocent' thread), you'll understand what went on.

'IF' I had been there I would thank everyone for making it such a great weekend - I would have been able to put a lot of faces to names also!

'IF' I had been there I would thank everyone for working their butts off on the stand, drinking for the national team and giving the club a fantastic representation amongst fellow motor-cyclists - I wasn't there but I am led to believe the stand was literally overwhelmed with spectators and enquiring minds.

'IF' I had been there I would like to thank you all for making my birthday a special one with cake, beer, balloons, jelly beans and that age-old song that hasn't been put my way since I was a young lad (Not tooooo many years ago then???)

'IF' I had been there I would be able to thank all for getting involved in promoting the David Jefferies Memorial Trust and convey a personal message of special thanks from Davids parents and sister, Louise - £1,124.50 raised - this included the £225.00 donated by the Tug of War teams - FANTASTIC!

I understand an excellent time was had by one and all - just wish I had been there!!!

Last one - special thanks to my Mrs for putting up with my continued absences over the weekend xxx

Many many thanks to you all for making me most welcome over the weekend.

I have a confession to make. I am not what I seem, neither is the motorcycle I used at the weekend.

I actually work for BMW, and the machine I had with me is an evaluation developmental model of a new and exciting GS! It is almost Identical in every way to the existing GS, shaft drive, wheel front and back.

The main difference to the new model is front telescopic forks, built in panniers, a new exciting V4 across the frame engine, and an entirely new design in built in fairings.

As a special offer to existing GS owners, BMW, in partnership with HONDA are giving you the chance to trade in your GS and get your hands on one of these exiting new bikes!!

Another Great Weekend!!

Like to add our thanks for a magic weekend, apart from the rain on Sat am, the weather was great again. Many thanks to Ken for the ride-out to Kielder - great roads and scenery
Once again I think everybody stocked up on bargains - I thought we were doing fine - I picked up a Tuareg "uniform" jacket in H.G. and Joyce got a helmet and goretex gloves in F.T. - enough extra gear for anyone to pack you would think? - then Helen appears with a nice "last-minute" bargain jacket from H.G. which Joyce also fancied, so off she pops and buy's one as well! - £25 quid for a £200+ jacket can't be bad - and it was brand new. - I need a van!!
Thanks again to everyone for a great time and see you all next year if not before??

Cheers...................................Geo. & Joyce
