A bit nearer the time ill see what he has caught fresh for us.
we'll have to cook the rest , im gonna try and find some recipes to do with these meats.

Food and beer

HI all, i ve been thinking of the logistics of the event, and it will probably be easier if you bring your own beer.getting 5 crates of beer on my bike might be a challenge.
Also go on the internet and download a recipe or two ,for pheasant, partridge, chicken and trout, whatever can be cooked by your equipment, frying pans , pots etc, and print it off and bring it with you.
Ideally to be cooked in under 2 hours, dont forget your knives forks plates, and baking foil if you need it.
I dont know what meat will be here for the day, and in what quantity, its probably still roaming the kent countryside as we speak, but dont worry there is a back up plan. Also if your recipe needs creme freche, garlic, cooking oil etc or any special ingredients i wont have that either, thats over to you.mind you sainsbury is 10 mins away.
I think we may cheat a bit, and ill bring a oil drum bar be que down in the car...so you can use barbq or open fire the choice is yours.
the event is a fiver head ,plus meat, and the farmer said there may be a small charge for the firewood if we burn shedloads.
attched is a pic or two of the actual site, thanks Joe for the Map.
I fancy a hammock between the trees....excuse the pics, its on a phone, and my daughter has played with the settings.atb Paul.

Meat so far

We have 6 wood pidgeon,2 pheasant, and 2 partridge so far, they've hit the freezer and some will be got out on the weds to hang for 2 or 3 days.
Come on guys scour the internet for the recipes.
Oh and Jamie Oliver cant make it.

all systems go

Well its nearly here, everything is nearly sorted, recipes found, tilley lamp is a go,panniers nearly on, ill put up some signs for you to follow from shoreham train station, thats near sevenoaks, not by the sea, theres two you see, careful if using satnav, you will be by the sea before you know it.
ill try and sort out some bacon and eggs for breakfast too,but again you will have to cook it yourself, dont forget your tea/coffee and alkaseltzer, ibruprofen etc for the morning after.
It goes without saying that when you enter the farm come in quietly and slowly there are children , animals and people around.
if you open a gate close it afterwards.
You can pitch up from about 12 ish onwards as far as i know.
The farmer's name is John Dinnis.
i would suggest you bring food that will go with any meat, cos i dont know exactly which meat will turn up till it falls out of the sky, or is dragged from a river somewhere, you get the plot?
personally i'm gonna bring mushrooms, noodles ,peppers and a wok and make a cajun squirrel stir fry maybe...

Yum Yum

Did I see horse's R they on the menu. Only kidding .
but squirel needs to be skinned staight away or you never get it off.
It all sound very dandy.
Not sure if I will be there ?
