Today I bought a set of 3 TK-3201's, in reasonable condition with a charger, not bad saying I only wanted one, or a pair at the most to go with my PX888.

All three work just fine and the clarity puts the little Puxing to shame, but they don't have the digital frequency readout and scan function to check channel availability.
What I need is the little clasp assembly that holds the battery in situ. It seems someone in the past didn't know how to remove the battery and gave said clasp a tug, breaking the plastic inside. I took the lower casing screws out and had a look at it's function and how it's broken and cannot be repaired, damn !

It's the little piece of plastic required, the outer metal latch is OK along with both springs and the hinge pin, but where do you get such an item ????????

I've done the usual searches and found nothing, if you can't buy them I'll stick the unit on ebay and explain the battery is secured by tape, but radio works just fine. The price would have to reflect the fact though.

Broken clasp

You can see the worn black metal section, it's the wonky plastic piece beneath it.

As it seems no one knows where to get Kenwood pieces of plastic, what sort of value should be placed on it in the For sale section ?

value = :nenau
(i know - thats hardly helping :blast - but honestly - it's so subjective to the 'demand')

to me it'd be worth €20.
consider that an offer.... or an insult - or ignore me and i'll eventually go away :D

Try Radiotek a two way radio company they may be able to help.

They supply all sorts of stuff and are great to deal with.

All the best Tom
