Does anyone know if its possible to get an ordinary pair of jeans Kevlar Lined.

Or somewhere that makes them "made to measure".

The wife is petite and slender and the off the shelf ones just dont fit?

I got a pair of Hood jeans last year. Very Good.

Like the fact that the kevlar lining is a full inner lining not just
some patches on hip and knee that other manufacturers use.

Have not slid down the road in the yet though :)

Check my site tonight... talk about timing. Got an article appearing about motorcycle jeans, designer, and armored.

Out of their busy season Hoods will make you a made to measure kevlar liner to wear under ordinary trousers - or they did three years ago!

Not sure if you are still looking but i have a couple of pairs of these and they are great for the summer:

They have plenty of UK distributors.

Their product testing is pretty inclusive

Red route

I have some Draggin Jeans and they have a few problems with them when you start to think about it. Sure they have Kevlar but try putting some knee armour in and you have to rely on velcro (in a fast crash....maybe not). Also they come in just one length (unless you hunt down the Extras version). I found Red Route jeans were much better. Same kevlar as Draggin but they come in three lengths, and have pockets for the armour at the knee (if you want). Also, if you want they come with stretch panels (mostly for sports bikes). Nice fit and feel nice quality too. And most importantly cheaper than Draggin!!! Hurrah.

Just a few things you may wish to know about Draggin Jeans

First of all their new NextGen jean does have pockets for armour if you so wish, I prefer to wear my jeans without knee armor and Draggin do have Kevlar in the knees..

Also Draggin Jeans are never going to be the cheapest out there but they do not compromise on safety – whatever the cost. The bottom line is would you rather save £20 or inches of skin I know what I’d prefer. By the way their latest Biker jean is made entirely out of stretch denim its so comfortable customers are wearing them all day just like regular denim jeans.

Recently a independent test called Satra report which I am not allowed to publish was done on both Draggin and Red route – the results speak for themselves !
In favor of Draggin.

Some claims that the Kevlar is the same – in Both Jeans? it's not Draggin is American the other brand is Asian Draggin is knitted the other's is woven a big, big difference.

Check out Draggin

I have. The Hood jeans and I had a slide off a dealer's K1200R in France last year on diesel as I was tipping into a roundabout near Le Touquet. The denim shows no sign of damage and I had a bruised arse but no tears in the material or kevlar.

My wife has Draggin' and the Kevlar is a different material to Hood. Unless they have changed it, it's like sand paper compared with Hood's more skin sensitive smooth effect.

Got them to make mine extra long ,no extra cost . comfy from start , great all the time ,even wear them as casual when away on bike , no need for 2nd pair of jeans .

Back in 2001 I phoned Draggin asking about a 38" waist and 36" inseam. They made them for me at regular list price and if I hadn't lost 2 stone since then they would still fit perfectly.
