Morning All,

I started up the new laptop yesterday and went through the normal setup process, setting time and date zone etc but when it got to the keyboard setup I must have clicked the wrong option and selected a different keyboard layout to the one I want. For example when I press the \ key on the keyboard the # symbol appears.

Is there anyway of changing this via control panel or something?

Using Win XP Home

Cheers

Go - control panel - 'Regional and Language' settings which should be set to - English(United Kingdom).
Then go into the 'Language' tabb click on 'Details' that will show which keyboard you are using, there will most probably be a choice of 2 and it will have defaulted to 'USA' change this to 'United Kingdom' and remove the 'USA' .
Then go into the Advance tab which also should be set to English(United Kingdom), restart and you should be alright then
