Considering a Triple Black and my options are Keyless or gear assist pro, any thoughts on either option, or which one would you choose if you had to choose one ??

neither, keyless does not work on the cases, so see no point at all. Tried gear shift and found it clunky. I do a better job with the clutch and slight throttle on downshifts.

+1 on that

I had the choice and for me gear shift pro everytime. In my opinion it's more practical as i thought I'd be forever looking for my key getting on and off.

Totally agree. Bought my GSA second hand and it was already fitted. I was very sceptical about it but it works very well on upchanges when you are accelerating.

I don't tend to use it changing down though.

If I had to choose one, it would be gear shift assist. Keyless is also a great feature, but you'll use it a few hundred times less, in a day!

Anything you do like? lol

I have both on my bike and would choose both. Keyless is quite cheap as an option anyway plus the more options you have the better the resale value of the bike.

I have keyless and no pro assist, although you have to get the key out for panniers I don't always have them on or need to open so just to be able to put all my kit on including gloves then get on and just start makes sense to me. If you do need the key then it's in you pocket not the ignition, no big deal.

tell him you want both ……get gear shift pro as part of the package , but to seal the deal you also want Keyless , then sign

totally agree, neither

Go for keyless. Gsa can be retrofitted. Keyless can't be.

Both --------- pointless crap :thumb2

More stuff to potentially fail when you are thousands of miles from home :thumb2

Good point.:thumb

And, OP, dont take any notice of the comments from people that don't even own the bike, let alone have these options; those that have these keyless or gsap and know how to use them properly rarely have any regrets.;)

If you ride like an old woman, then you won't appreciate GSAP and will not need/use it. If you like a "spirited" ride from time to time you will love it.

Good news just bought a triple black, keyless is free at the moment.
Gasp it is then .Be quick not sure how long the offers on for.
Both great.
You'll love the bike.:thumb

both are great add-ons and well worth the money

I've got both and given a choice between the two it's the quickshifter every time. I think the keyless is badly implemented on the GS/A and is as much of a hindrance as a benefit. Next time I won't spec it.
