An old thread resurrected but heres my story.
I chose keyless on my 2017 GSA Triple Black. Brilliant idea as I ride all year round and its a pain in the ass at petrol stations in Winter.
Much better with keyless as I just dont have the hassle with ignition, fuel caps etc.
Now.... last weekend I went out with my mates, one on a GSA 2013 model with panniers. The perfect storm happened with a series of accidents.
1) He accidentally left his key in the top box.
2) Whilst the group were wondering around the bikes during a rest stop, one of them accidentally bumped into his bike while squeezing through a gap, which we subsequently found had bent his ignition key still hanging out the top box.
I sat on my bike while they tried, very carefully, to bend the key back enough just to fit the ignition and get him home.
Have to say I was glad for keyless right then.
