Hi, I need some advice on what aux input to use for my phone. Normally use an MP3 player. However, my new phone (Nokia 5310) has plenty of music on it so to kill two birds with one stone I'd like to use the MP3 player on that as well as the phone itself. I'm not sure which aux socket to use on the 200 unit though. Will Aux 1 and 2 do the same job? Can I use the phone to answer and make calls as well as listen to music on the move? Is the a specific lead for the phone /MP3 player or any 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack plug do it? Or am I better off just getting a bluetooth unit which will do the job without running a wire to the unit form the handlebars. If i receive a call on the move will either Aux sockets cut the call off to the pillion or do they get the full conversation as well. Sorry about all the questions but I have no handbook.
thanks in advance

Swings and roundabouts really mate, the AUX1 is your main phone socket but only carries mono sound so the music will come into both your helmet speakers but you would not get full stereo music.

If you run the phone via the AUX2 socket you would get full stereo music but when you are on the phone the incoming callers volume would be muted back 50% when the mics are opened which can make the calls hard to be heard.

Thanks Rich, thats cleared that bit up. Will the bluetooth adapter for the unit still play the music ok through the headsets? Apart from that, is there a certain lead needed for Nokia 5310? Or any audio lead?

No worries, BT wise the phones do not tend to send music out via BT and also the music would only be in mono if it was possible.

lead wise does the phone run on a single 2.5mm or 3.5mm connection?

Cheers

The phone will send music via the bluetooth, well it does do my bluetooth earphones anyway? It runs a 3.5mm jack plug for normal earphones
