The Klim Badlands jacket & trousers have been available for well over a year now, so I was wondering how they're working out :nenau

Everyone still happy with theirs ?
Lasting well?
No niggles?

I'm outgrowing my Rukka jacket and will probably need to go up a size soon, so was thinking of buying the (slightly less expensive) Klim instead.

I'd be grateful for any information either way :thumb2

Absolute dogs bollocks in every respect

Buy :)

What he said - a truly tremendous jacket. The armour almost feels too light and yet I came out unscathed from a 50ish mph get off.

Talk to the guys at Adventure Bike Warehouse :thumb

Or else !

I have had a Latitude jacket and love it,
Very good quality all year round, well vented for summer, just add layers for winter. Brilliant

klim

great bit of kit with good back up from adventure spec or klim and not every tom dick and harry wearing it:aidan

Here's a thought....

Stop eating all the friggin pies and keep the one you've got!

What makes you think that it's not the weight lifting and boxing training that's causing the physical expansion ? :augie

I didn't ask for nutritional advice, just asked what people thought of their Klim clothing. :topic

I've had various bits of klim clothing, and it has all been excellent.

You definitely get what you pay for. :thumb2

I see that the Latitude Jacket has a two layer GoreTex system, but is it still laminated to the outer shell the same as the Badlands three layer GoreTex ? :nenau

Yep - only difference is material is not quite as strong :thumb2

If you are asking "is the waterproof layer a detachable liner"?, no it isn't.

Does that help?

Yeah :thumb2

I wanted to be sure the outer layer is waterproof, not just a drop liner or inner jacket, Thus preventing a heavy, soggy outer jacket :(

Exactly, and like you was one of the main reasons I bought it. :thumb

How about in 30 degrees +, how does it vent? (I normally use an airflow jacket in such temps)

How about strapping your riding kit to the back of the bike in 30C temp's and wearing your T-Shirt & shorts?

Unless you're offroad it's perfectly safe if you're careful and paying attention. That doesn't mean the worst can't happen but I reckon you make your own luck on a bike.

And yes, the Badlands suit is well ventilated.

"t" shirt n shorts :nenau quick way to get a wooden overcoat:thumb

Some of the guys on the Alaska used them last year and had no problems in everything from freezing rain to plus 40 degrees. Great bits of kit:thumby:
