Just been to try the jackets for my trip next year I really liked the badlands pro, the size M fitted perfect as is with t-shirt on, with a wind proof jacket it would be tight so looked at the large,
Some mixed reviews with the jacket, I've always used a bmw suite rally but find they very heavy and when wet I hate stopping, so stuff it I'm having a klim, one ordered

I love mine, excellent waterproofing + much better venting than rukka. velcro kidney belt can be annoying sometimes but easily removed. Really impressed with Klim, have the BLP jacket, trousers as well as the induction jacket which i also rate for hot weather. Their jeans also fit me well.

Hi

Why a wind proof jacket?

The suit is gortex and in cold weather just requires layering up. Just the same as when out walking, or hiking if you want to sound fit n active.

I've had mine for about 18 months and think it the DB's.

I love mine too - had a couple big offs offroad and it did a great job of taking care of me and handling the abuse. Has continued to keep me dry, when I've remembered to close the flaps properly!

As to the mid layer - I use the Klim Gore windstopper jacket which is great at keeping me warm and being a useful jacket when I get to where I'm going :thumb2

Mine is 4 big trips in do far ,,,,,,I have NOT been disappointed
Either a tee shirt or a t shirt with a GERBING heated jacket
That seems to do from +46 c. To - 8 c and everything in between :thumb2

I've got a heated waistcoat that's been in the wardrobe for a good few year.

Do the badlands jacket take a hydro pack

As above yes they do but it is a pain in the arse to fit to the extent that if i want to use the bladder i fill it and put it in the tank bag. Further the jacket is no lightweight and with a 2 litre bladder fitted it is very heavy

I'm loving my Badlands jacket. I had a Rallye jacket in the past and venting is comparable but the way the Klim keeps you dry compared to the crap BMW system of internal Gore Tex makes it seem like you've moved forward from one century to the next!

I see there's two Klim jackets with the name "Badlands" on FC Moto. There's "Badlands Pro" and just "Badlands", is it that Badlands is just the updated version and dearer ?

I think the original badlands pro is the more expensive of the 2
