As the title says - anyone got one? Do all those vents make it super noisy? And too cold?

Obviously got money burning a hole in my pocket :blast

You too can have a head like Sydney Opera House......:augie

The anniversary edition and the b&w edition (which I think looks great) are both available in the "discontinued" section of the Klim USA website.
They're bizarre, not least coz the front looks brilliant and the back looks like a hill fort...

And still* on sale in the USA for c. £100 -

* Last time I looked was December '09 - http://www.bikersoracle.com/gs/forum/showthread.php?t=911

Looks like they've only got XS and M left.

THat would've been a good deal, but I think I need a large...

Don't know abot you chap - but I get pretty hot under my lid so was thinking this was a good option...

Same here, I boil. I really like the look of 'em as a concept, just can't quite get over the shape (also not convinced about those leading edges on a helmet in the event of taking a swan dive)

I would guess that the 'dig in' effect of those edges could aggravate a tumble in a quite nasty way. :nenau

Mav, grab one, they are the best lid I've had and I've had a few now.

Even hold up OK in torrential rain, theres an inner liner you can fit. I commute in mine, and did so right through last Winter.

As for the noise, not as quiet as my Arai obviously, but I guess I just got used to it and tend to be listening to my iPod anyways :-)

They supply a spare peak with them.

Jonah Street uses them on Dakar IIRC.

+1, great lids.

Thanks for all the feedback chaps :thumb2

OK - am going to order one... now to work out which size. I did try one on a while ago, but I can't for the life of me remember what size it was :blast I'm a 57/58 in BMW Enduro... I'm assuming that I can always send it back to get a different size...

Ordered!

Hope I like it...

Good man! Think you're gonna love it mate.

One thing I forgot to mention, the US versions and UK versions differ a fair bit in weight, the UK version is actually lighter IIRC.

TBM also did a weight comparison.

Scott 89XI's go well with 'em :-)

It arrives tomorrow :bounce1

Adventure Spec were super helpful, throwing in an extra set of cheek pads as I am in between sizes.

I also got a pair of oakley goggles to with them for 40 pounds.

Should be just the ticket for the Level 3 course I'm booked on :thumb2

Will post an update tomorrow when I get it!!

I bet you wear it tmrw night and knock one out in the mirror:D:ymca:thumb2

That's why the ventilation is so important :D

On a slightly more serious note - the lid is great. Didn't get at all warm for the duration of the Level 3 course despite it being hot enough to riding in just a jersey. However, when you get to 60+mph it is very noisy. I don't normally wear ear plugs... I think if I was going to do a long distance I would need them with this lid.

Top marks to Adventure Spec - great service :thumb2
