Wanted Klim Marrakesh Jacket Medium

I have the Rukka equivalent surplus to my requirements that I could part with ...

Has to be the Marrakesh cos I know it fits and ticks all the boxes. Thanks anyway.

Having worn mine in Brittany over the past five days, I suspect that not many will be willing to give one up, it is a superb bit of kit.

Very easy to wear and for me it just perfect, as I can’t stand the usual biker jackets with umpteen amount of (pouches) pockets, straps, buckles, whistles, zips, bumps and lumps. The jacket being also a little stretchy, meaning it does not wear tight.

I wore my new Rukka RPS AFT armoured Shirt. Excellent bit of kit. As it has chest, back, shoulder and elbow armour, which is being held inside a stretchy mesh frame. Arsey was so impressed he’s ordered one too.
Over the top of the RPS, I wore TOG24 Duck Down Jacket.
Over the top of TOG24, I wore Klim Maverick Wind Shirt (wore it on its own after going out to town in the evening and expected for temperature to drop later on, I don’t think it looked wrong)
Then Marrakesh (love how simple it is in construction)
And when it was threatening to rain, I wore Scott Waterproof Jacket over the top of that lot.

The entire outfit, has worked really well. So much so, that I am considering to get rid of my other kit.

Thanks for that EVskij and I know it's a long shot. I've been to try on the Marrakesh and it feels so right and I too would be putting the Scotts over the top for rain.

I realise you may be set on the Marrakesh, why not it's good. But if you don't find what you want, at the price you want, try the Adventure Spec Linesman, at the moment they're £250, best £250 I've spent, and I'm a Klim fanboi.

I’m confused Evskij. What’s the role of the Marrakesh in that set-up? I assume it’s just for the abrasion protection? If you’re not going to put the armour into Marrakesh, if you’d gone for the AdvSpec super shirt instead of the Rukka, you wouldn’t need the Marrakesh at all.

Oh - and I assume the Klim wind shirt is Zephyr, not Maverick? Isn’t Maverick is a down jacket…

Marrakesh is an essentially a mesh jacket, yes, it is for abrasion protection, which has no armour in it (as I have removed it) for touring purposes, If I go for a couple of hours ride, I’ll simply put it back in and leave the Rukka RPS shirt at home.
I don’t do AS stuff for one simple reason, I like to try stuff on. They do not sell their stuff in shops other than their own, I hate mail ordering clobber, because 8-10 times, it’ll be going back. I have long arms. They are too far for me to travel to.

Yes you are correct about the Zephyr/Maverick confusion. My Bad, apologies. Excuse: I am knackered.

I’m new to the Marrakesh ; the ‘Chap with the cap’ says “It is the most comfortable jacket that you’ll ever wear !”
I agree. Total fabric breathability ,and no vents anywhere . It simply feels cool . Let’s hope for more heat ahead of us.
If it’s chilly , then wear an under garment.
If it’s raining , then wear an over rain jacket .
Can’t see many wanting to sell theirs .
Edit ; there’s a black one on eBay at the moment starting £180 size L

I'm also a recent convert, having bought one this week. Believe the hype - it's like wearing a comfy soft shell jacket, with the associated stretch and give. On the bike there is a pleasant breeze - not windy as you get with a mesh jacket - and at 22 degrees it's lovely. Off the bike it's very understated and I don't feel at all self conscious as I have experienced with full adventure jackets in the past.

Are you still looking? I’ve got one in black which I may sell.

Yes, still looking but I've read that there is a size difference between the old ones and new.
Which one do you have, 2 front pockets or 1?

Mine is the new version it has 3 pockets on the front. Unless you are refering to chest pockets. In that case mine has only one.

To be honest, just go and buy new.
The summer be over by the time you’ll get offered one on here. Which is when this jacket is worn and best suited for.

Yes, I was referring to the 2 chest pockets on the mk1. I may have to buy new as I'm off at the end of June but I'm a tightwad! :ROFLMAO:

I’ve got the same setup now . Marrakesh and Zephyr plus Scott waterproof . For me Marrakesh on its own above about 22 degrees . Below that I wear the Zephyr underneath .
Below about 15 degrees I’ll wear a thin Rohan zip up fleece too .
Brilliant kit .

Exactly the same for me

Although I have now added a Macna cooling vest for days over 30º

I’ve been contemplating for a couple of years. Riding to Sid’s last year was a bit warm. Perhaps I should push the button.
Filling it up with 0.6l of water is hardly a chore to keep you cool for at least 4 hours.

well dont get one just yet as I may have a spare

The sizing on them is unbelievable I am 46 inch chest and ordered the L/XL when it arrived I swear it wouldn't have fitted a slim Italian rent boy so that went back but they are hard to find in stock
I took the chance and ordered the last that Motolegends had which was a 4XL but to be safe just in case the original order had a dodgy size label I have also ordered a inuteq in 2XL ( they are the actual makers of the Macna and it is the one the F1 drivers wear

The 4XL is a reasonable loose fit so I am happy but bruised ego wise having a clothing item that is 4XL
