At the end on the clutch hydraulic system is the big tubular thing that i think is used for bleeding the clutch. the hexagonal grub screw has sheared off.

do i have to buy a new piece or can it be drilled out and re threaded? and i haven'y got a bleed nipple yet so could i redrill/rethread to fit new nipple or would it have to be a special one?

any help?

thanks

Drill plus rethread first. If you feck it up then buy a new pipe.

does the little ball bearing at the bottom have any significance?? ie if i rethread to fit a bleed nipple will it do any damage?

the ball bearing is sprung, and it's what stops the the fluid coming out. the grub screw is just a dust seal.

to bleed it, you either screw in a nipple, to depress the ball, or (as i did recently ) stick something pointy in and open it that way.

Unscrew the bleed unit from the hose, bleed it using your thumb as a stopper, replace the unit.

no jason, its the bleed assembly ( bit tucked under the offsdie rear ) the piece you should be able to unscrew a little grub and insert a bleed nipple.
