Knee down...

shifts center of gravity allowing more throttle out of corner, helps to hold slips pushing bike up if front washes out,all sorts of b-s reasons, motogp riders don't seem to bother as much as macho road riders do so make your own decisions, tried to put my leg forward whilst braking the other day like rossi but just melted my waterproofs on the left pot....

looks a little like all dangle no angle

Well.... Normally YES, but the footpeg was down on this bend (but not quite in the picture).

By hanging off, you can lean the bike less, for the same corner speed. OR you can carry MORE corner speed, with more lean.

The Bandits were not blessed with sportsbike ground clearance.

On that corner (Near the museum, IOM) I had peg, toe, ankle, calf AND knee sliders down.

thats a sign that your on the wrong bike, sportsbikes for knee out, bandits for wheelies, gsa's for draining your bank account

Sorry guys, If you feel you have to get your knee down on the road your trying too hard.

Yeah on a crutch rocket on the track I can see it.

On an adventure bike on the road... :tosser

So there you have it. Don't whatever you do try and lean the bike over and get your knee down or your a w*nker.

Mmmm...

I thought I had bought a bike that could do everything but now we have been informed I shall ensure my friend gets a textile suit and rides steadily in the future..

Fill yer boots fella, Who the hell am I to tell you what you should do or how you should ride.

Sounds like you've bought the perfect bike for what you want to do .. :augie

Take those crash bars off !!

If you are going to get it over that far, then take those crash bars off. They reduce the clearance, and in extreme circumstances ( Cadwell, Charlies, June 2009, well giddy) will deck out and flip you off !! trust me !!

I scaped my panniers and I wasnt even going backwards at the time - Round the ring 2 up with lots of luggage everything touches !

Once you turn the traction control off (if you have it) they wheelie REALLY well too.

Just don't mention it on here, or "they" will spit their pipes out in disgust and horror :rob :rob

I managed a 50 mph, rolling stoppie on me ABS'd 1200 ... don't ask me to do it again :augie

Best regards Stretch:)

I think I would need to change me undies if I ever could get a GSA that far over. It is a hell of a wy down. Looks bloody good though. You boys have upset me now, I want another GSA:blast :thumb

On a track day maybe, but every day riding its pointless.

I used to ride around the outside of dicks hanging off there sports bikes on long sweepers , trying to get there knee down. :blast

i used to scrape the pegs on my bandit 1200 , before i ever considered hanging off. :augie

My Wp750 streetfighter would lean over even further . :D

I got my down pipe to hit tarmac on a sweeper coming off the sherburn slip road off the A64 to leeds. (with a fat burd on the back) :comfort

If i had my knee on the deck , i would of come off.
