Been out killing flies on my 1100 today and whilst in town I rode without ear plugs (I know its stupid cos you hear how much noise the damn thing makes), on slow right handers there is a knocking noise from the front, left handers no noise and faster speeds above 20 -25 mph no knocking. I know I should ingnore it, I did a search which made my paranoia worse!!
Also I sheared a rear caliper bolt!! torque wrench set at 40 Nm rear bolt okay front one seemed to turn to far I got that uneasy oh my God feeling, backed it off, checked the wrench 40 NM tried again and snapped it. Bolt was old OE?hex type and I replaced both with new Stainless, but its a big meaty bolt and suprised it sheared. Also used a different wrench in case that was the problem. Anyone else had this and is it common or am I just a big gorilla with a duff Draper wrench
Thank you in advance for your opinions and advice

and get the ordinary spanners out and go over the front end checking for loose bolts, caliper bolts, disc to wheel bolts, front shock top and bottom, hopefully you will find something, with the bike on the centrestand have a heave on the bottoms of the forks too, see if anything gives itself away.
