Kriega tank bag

I did manage to get the velcro straps through the underseat anchor point, took a bit of effort and a pair of needle-nose pliers but got there in the end. Also took a fair bit of jiggling to get them to fold right under the seat.. worth it in the end.

to reiterate the steps I took were (no guarantees this will work for anyone else:

1) Reverse the holder so the larger, move oval cut-out is at the top of the false tank.

2) Swap the straps so that the velcro ended straps are at the bottom and the loop end-straps at the top

3) attach the loop ends to the frame bars coming back from the headstock.

4) Attach to the "bra" and remove excess strappage (being careful with a lighter to melt the ends after cutting to prevent fraying)

5) Having carefully removed the existing strap attachments from the (now) bottom end of the "bra" (this is getting weird!) attach 2 largish strong keyring fobs directly to the last fabric loop.. I bought several sizes but the ones i used were about 2.5-3cm diameter from memory.

6) attach the velcro ended straps to the key rings... on my 2009 650gs with a low seat the rings just about disappear under the upper extent of the seat.

7) carefully thread the velcro ends through 2 plastic strap fixtures under the seat - from the back to the front. Fiddly and took a few minutes and a very small pair of pliers bit it did work.

Anyway hope that helps someone else - and all credit to the previous poster who came up with the idea of using the key rings - wouldn't work without it.

Will take some pictures when i can if anyone would find it useful.

Most helpful............thanks for that, a very comprehensive description.

I will give it a try when my brain has settled down after work.

Pics would be helpful.
