I've been in and out of the booth all day today mate! God damn painting getting in the way of a bit of a chat eh!

As electrics are your thing, as I know bugger all about them, and as the horn is useless ..... I may get you to wire in a new one ... :thumb2

The net is littered with BM accessory sites (Hornig, sherlock etc etc ...)

C'mon ...... where do you browse for bling ..... :nenau

I have just the thing! Got one fitted to my 950, you can have a look / listen next time you're local!

Yeah, but that's the thing, it ain't a MBW so it's not all handed to you on a plate, all part of the ownership experience, you have to work for it a bit, old skool if you like....... :D

Seriously though, I genuinely haven't a clue - Wings do the side panels to keep your legs cooler as well as some very nice exhausts and, er, that's it really...........

Oh, I got my rad guard from R&G, nice understated black, very unblingy and a reasonable price. Oh, and I got a nice side stand foot (the standard foot print is stoopidly tiny) from SW Motech (not cheap though).

Yes .... I've already eyed up the plain black R&G rad guard. That'll be one of the first things I get. (put them on the GS quite early on and was glad I did - found a massive dent in them after one ride .... ).

So your bar risers ..... are they just hippy bling or are they actually useful .... ?? :D

Well.......... at 6ft I found the standard bar position a bit of a long reach, I like to ride 'on top of the bars', pushing the bike down beneath me, if that makes sense? Also, they were not quite high enough for standing off road. The risers are KTMs own ones, medium compound damping, and with some judicious playing around with the angle of the bars I'd say they are just about spot on for me now - very pleased with them. As to the 'damping' I haven't found the engine vibes an issue but they do seem to knock them back a bit; I've not done a long trip though since fitting them so will see how they fare after some miles.....

:thumb2 I'm 6'00 too.

I have the value of the crash bars to spend! (its about £200 I think). I'll probably put it towards the bash plate, but (sigh) there's inner bags (a genuinely useful bit of kit and not pointless bling), gps brackets, touring screensn not to mention all those orange anodized parts ..... the list goes on :D

There's a U.S. site called altrider. They do a really nice bash plate amongst other things for the 1190. Much nicer than the KTM item. Won't be cheap though.

KTM make tons of shiny orange stuff to bolt on. Just google KTM powerparts and it should bring up a couple of big sites with loads of bits. Consider buying from Bikers Jersey. They are a bit shambolic and their website never seems to work properly, but it's 20% off all parts as they don't add vat. Very helpful if you ring them.

Aha ...

Thanks Cookie .... (the ktm power parts is already open on the other tab ....)

I got the inner bags, very useful but not as good as WBMs varios and bags as the lids on the panniers are not full width so the the bag, which is, has to be scrunched up a bit to get it in the opening. This means you can't stuff the bag as full as you might want to.

I also got the KTM tank bag. The bag itself seems nice enough but again the WMB one is better when it comes to its simple fixing system, the KTM one relies on straps.

Andres

I have the KTM bag also. Part of the deal when I bought the bike. It's ok. But small, not a dedicated bag for the model, and not up to BMW standards.
