Black Dog Cycle Works

Have used them for years.

Kurt is a top bloke and if you want any bits I'm in the USA most months so could collect from a US address such as a hotel where I'm staying.

I have their belly ban and tail rack on my 950SE.Great quality kit.

Check out this beauty for the 1190 :

Looks nice except for the BBQ paint

Black Dog do seem to have a great rep in the states, but i prefer this prefer this:

meanwhile. i have ordered a set of these overblingy swing arm pivot covers as i noticed my feet were touching them at the w/e and thought i'd act before the paint got scuffed.

I have the KTM bag also. Part of the deal when I bought the bike. It's ok. But small, not a dedicated bag for the model, and not up to BMW standards.

Cookie, was that something your dealer did or can I expect pannier bags as part of the current KTM luggage deal .... ??

Also .... () What choices have people made with sat nav brackets? I think I'm going to go down the SW Motech route ....

My purchase price included the 'KTM travel pack' offer and, like you are thinking of doing, I got the engine bars swapped for a bash plate.

The pannier bags, tank bag and isolating risers were all included in the price but I negotiated these with the dealer. None of the bags are included in the 'KTM' offer.

it was just something i negotiated with the dealer. handily they also give 10% off all parts to bike buyers indefinitely, which is nice. i also got the KTM satnav bracket. bit plasticky, but it works ok for my 660. now i think about it, i did have to completely strip it to turn the mount around 180º so it fitted the garmin mount. this is best done before mounting the bracket DAMHIK :blast

whatever you choose, unless you use the accessory cigar lighter socket on the dash, you'll have to strip the screen and headlight assy. off to get at the handy spare power connections inside the headlight. that's about 30 screws in itself. i don't fancy changing a bulb at the side of the road

i also cut a discreet little hole to take the garmin cables inside the shell.

actually, to do anything on these bikes means stripping lots of bodywork off to get access, as the bit you really need to remove is always the last in a series of overlapping panels. it's not that bad really, but a bit odd at first for me.

:thumb2 Yes, I read about the two connectors behind the headlight assembly ....

Ok thanks ....

(BM having clocks fitted today, new 1190 next friday ...!)
