Hello, just visiting from the yellow bit

I am thinking that I want a KTM ADV 950, but only have about £3500-£3700, what sort of bike (if any?) can I expect for this kind of cash? Does anyone know of anything in this price range that available? Thanks

How you getting on with the bike?

I flogged my 1200 GSA last year and tried downsized to a 955i Tiger. Only ridden it a few times in 9 months.. Cracking clean example, loads of spec and even the later upgraded model. BUT..it's just not chunky and rugged enough for my liking.

I've been scouring the net tonight for KTMs.... 990s too rich and 950s scarce, but more in my price bracket.

I'd be very keen to hear how the 950 is to live with??

BS

I've had mine since the 19th of Feb.

It's an '04 950 with 39,000 miles. Got her for a great price (somewhere around the 3 and a half mark).

I'd like some engine bars (yes, Dave, engine bars!) and some panniers/racks (YES DAVE! ;) )

Love the bike so far. Had a fuel pump problem so I just replaced it (30 mins with minor mechanical skill). Sounds lovely, goes really well and turns heads.

I haven't had a bigger BMW (just the 650 funduro) - so I can't compare against anything much.

She cruises well on the motorway, plenty of power - and I intend to get her off road as son as the evenings get lighter.

Was that the orange one in Craig's that you bought?

I love mine as well, have had a couple of ADV 1150GS and a 1150gs, but I must say I prefer the KTM, lots more guts and just really fun to ride, still early days but I am happy! :D Mine is an 03 with 46,000 ish miles - no problems.........so far!

Yep, that's the one.

Need luggage and crash bars, then will be a happy camper.
She's a bit rattly when cold, but going strong.

Very happy. Borrowed a 690smc while doing fuel pump. Great fun, but much prefer the 950.

Thought it might be looking at your location, It looked like a really nice bike, I did make an offer on it but it was declined :blast, I was up near you in Halifax today as my HQ is nearby.

I have found a low miler for sale near me at £4K. Sadly it is a private sale and therefore have to shift my mint Tiger 955i first.

The Tiger is fantastic, fast, light and comfy.... Sadly it doesn't look that rugged like the KTM.

I am not holding my breath but would really fancy the change!

Yes mate

Office in Brighouse. Really would like to get out on a decent run sometime soon.

Changed my 1150S for a 950 Adv last year - had the GS for 5 years, it was a great bike. But the KTM is just so much more fun - really accelerates in a wasy the 1150 couldn't. Excellent finish on it and with the carbs is so much smoother than the 990 with its jerky fuel injection. I love the orange too! Recommended :thumb2
