2019 6 Days EXC-f 250 officially and correctly registered with DVLA as a 125.
Bennett’s recognise this for insurance purposes too.
Wearing the original plastics, etc.
Comes with the upgraded yokes, axle puller, etc as the 6 Days.
On 180’ish hours with a rebuild at 140 including gaskets, starter motor, bearings. Battery is less than 10hours old.
The paperwork was done so the teenager could legally ride a 4T however she’s off to Uni in London so the bike will see no use for the foreseeable future so it’s a waste for it to sit there.
Has a Rekluse clutch cover as I fitted the auto clutch in it for her but I’ve removed it for sale as it’s not everyone’s liking. Can be included with the sale subject to the agreed price.
Also has a disc guard, barkbusters, etc.
Also has the full K-Tech ORVS system in the forks with 3.6kg springs and a 63 rear spring.
Can supply the OE springs if you’re heavier than 70kgs otherwise the setup is perfect from 50-70kgs allowing the compression to run either side of midpoint rather than fully open and still being too firm which is the case on the standard 4.0
It’s a clean, genuine bike hiding no nasties. It wouldn’t be for sale if she’d decided to take a year out as agreed but seeing as she’s prone to changing her mind post agreeing things there’s a little tough love currently happening in the household! 🤬
Bike is in south wales and price is £5500 with it being a road legal 125cc now, not to be compared with the price of an equivalent 250cc anymore.

Just out of interest…how can a 249 cm3 be reclassified as a 125cm3 ?
Genuine question

Well, I have to be honest, I am a bit confused as well....
I am OK with the dvla thinking it is one thing, a 125cc, but what is it really a 125cc. ?
I didn't even know KTM made a 125 exc....
Put me out of my misery.....

KTM do make a 125cm3, it’s a 2stroke though

They also make the 125 RC 4t engine but it doesnt share any architecture with this bike.
If this is a genuine 125 conversion I can see a use for all those old EXC's out there that can be had for cheap.
Detail, details we need more details

Or are we confusing A1 with A2 machines.

Very easily. You tell DVLA that it has had engine work, provide the garages invoice showing frame and engine number with the corresponding part numbers.
They check it and if happy issue a new logbook.

Don’t confuse the EXC and EXC-f.
EXC can very easily (well kind of) be converted. Piston, Conrod and barrel from 125cc fit straight into the 250 cases.
EXC-f are much more difficult to do as they literally only did parts for one year in Europe. 2019. They didn’t bring the parts into the UK. If you happen to have a very good local company who know their bikes inside and out and know where to look then it’s possible to source the parts.

It’s learner compatible due to the P2W ratio coming under the limit and DVLA are perfectly happy having issued the logbook for it.
Bennett’s and other insurers are also fine with it.
Also can be reverted back to a 250 at any point with them.
Does it matter to you though if you are not interested in buying it?

Sorry I wasn't trying to confuse, I thought it was obvious that we're talking EXC-F 4t machines here.
I can understand that it's not an easy job to convert but is it off the shelf (in Europe) parts? I understand if you don't want to share the knowledge as you've obviously invested heavily in getting this sorted.

Parts were literally made for one year in 2019 for whatever reason only known to KTM
So technically it’s a 125.
Also technically it’s still a 250.
The model designation can’t be changed as that’s what it was registered as originally.
For insurance you just put the details in manually and that’s that.
It was done because the teenager wanted to be able to ride trails as well as her cafe racer so after a fuck ton of work and messing about she then used it twice. At ABR. Now she gone to Uni so I’m buggered if I’m having it sat around unused on the off chance she decides she might want to ride when she’s back here.

Hi again, sorry, no not interested in buying it, just curious.
Pity you didn't make the advert a little clearer, might have saved you having to answer queries that might well annoy you.
Bye from me now and good luck with the sale anyway.
