Once again I appeal to the knoweledgable members of this great site to offer their usual high level of advice on another matter.
I have just purchased a set of wheels which are immaculate except that the rims are stained where the previous owner used an Orange based cleaner. I would like to say that feeling all over the rims tha lacquer is not broken or cracked just stained white in some areas and more like a "Bloom" in others, as you all know my bike is a worknig bike NOT a poishers toy so removing the lacquer and Autosoling to a bright shiny finish is out of the question. If push comes to shove they will be fitted as is because they still look better by a mile than my 88,000 mile specimins. Put some shiny wheels on it and it will look like a 20,000 miler or maybe not. Cheers Bob.
