Like the heading says, does anybody know what the thread size is for a lamba sensor?

I have a link pipe to fit a Road legal Scorpion can to my 850, but it has the hole for a lamba sensor. I'm pretty sure my 850 doesn't have a sensor, can't see one anyway, which means I need to block it up somehow.

I suppose a simple option would be to get an old dead sensor to plug it with.

Anybody got a dead one they could donate?

Cheers
Hugh

Just changed the one on my car:). I think the thread is the same on all sensors so you can go to a car service and ask them to give you one that they have changed on a car recently ;)

Had another look at this this afternoon, and it's way bigger than a spark plug, it measures about 17mm internal diameter. Looks like I'll be taking it into a nut and bolt supplier in Luton next week.
Want to get it fitted now, a mate has just donated me a nice Scorpion Carbon can to fit on the end fo the link pipe. Another mate has arranged for a visit to his company's weigh bridge next week, so exhaust and alloy wheels to follow and see how much weight its lost.

No need - it's M12. See the ebay link I posted above...? Just to confirm I measured one with my vernier calipers - 17.75 mm across the threads and 16.8 mm across the grooves.

if you measured that, its not an m12

That sounds about right. Mine was measured internally with verniers.

£5 sounds a lot for one bolt. But the place in Luton would charge a min £2 and it's 12 mile from here!

Nice one, thanks. Daft thing is I did a search but didn't turn that one up.

A mate of mine popped in the place in Luton earlier today, but even with me talking to the guy on the phone we didn't manage to get one, so for £4 i've ordered one of these now.

Best way to go, you get one the right length and has a recessed hex drive. better than cutting and filing to length.
