As some of you know I've been trying to find a cure for my intermittant bad running.

Today I disconnected my lamda sensor (I'm running with Y piece) and the 'lurching' appears to have been eliminated (fingers crossed).

Longer test rides this week will confirm (I'll also reconnect and see if problem returns).

Assuming the lamda probe is isolated as the problem, can the sensor be cleaned/repaired? or will I have to buy a new one?
Or even run without it?

Cheers ...........

in my experience, disconnecting the lambda richened up the mixture significantly, though this appears not to always be the case with all bikes.

anyway, to prove your probe is shagged you need to swap it with a known good one. simply saying it's better without, could be due to that action masking the true cause.

personally, i'd check your TPS voltage.
