So went out to try see if trails had found on maps were worth riding

So got up to a 1st one and although was closed, were some horses gone ahead, was only 1km long and collate road was in better nick than boreen I rode up to it, so skipped the 1st one

Little further on I came across few nice forest roads, few spins down and were nice wide fast trails

Came onto a few others off the main trail, looked ok but once got in, in was in deep, 2ft bog was under the grass and bike went in deep, so quick dig out and off we go again.

Had tried go up for few more roads but they were getting bit tricks for solo riding

still nice fe hours out and look forward getting someone tag along least be 2 people dig me out

Few more routes I wanted try but with no fuel and nearest station 25km away I called it a day, took ktm home and gave her good wash

Don't you dare muck up my lovely old bavarian mistress :P

was going drop over but said you may not be too happy me dragging half a ton of shite into your kitchen

once he has dirtied your old GS, we can call over and let you wash an clean it for him

I have to say that amount of muck would put me off. Ive no off road experience so that would be jumping in at the deep end.

Sounds like a good plan to me....

well that was about 1/4 of the trails, rest were wide fast gravel roads.

some even better than boreens i took to get into them

Wow , this is amazing, I am trying to find similar places around Kilkenny, for the moment I just found Brandon Hill (no big news, but great craic). I have a nice 990 as well :beerjug: Shall we meet to do some green laning off road? GPS Tracks available?
The black mountains area looks promising, but I would not try it on the 990 without knobbies... Hwne I explore I prefer the DR350S, a mule with cross tyres

meaning go to brandon mountain.

i am away during week so ya meet up some weekend try get trails in
