England Kev ran a standard R100GS tank on his ST.

It seems to be the easiest and most cost effective way to increase fuel capacity

Another one here

Cool bikes with their own dedicated following.

thanks guys i might stick up an add for a r100gs tank allthough if there daft money i will stay with what i have got ,one of the reasons is that it will fit the leg shields a bit better

Don't know if it's relevant but the g/s standard tank, which is the same as the ST apart from the recessed filler, is longer than the the GS/R100R tank which leaves a gap between the tank and seat.

Hmm!

None of the st bikes with gs tanks seem to have and gaps or have they modded them?

If you can get hold of them, the HPN plastic tank will fit, as will the Paris Dakar G/S tank........both silly money new and second hand tho.

There is only a small triangular gap at the bottom where the ST/GS tank slopes back and the GS/100R tank is vertical DAMHIK. I had mine filled when I had the seat recovered!

Tank

R100/80GS tanks fit, so do R100R/Mystic tanks.
R80/100 tanks dont fit as they dont have the recess in the right hand side to make room for the electric gubbins thats on the ST.

Acerbis/HPN tanks will fit if they fit the R80/100GS....but will look too big on the ST In my opinion.

Im also in the market for a GS or Mystic tank for my ST if anyone has one going for reasonable cash.

Show us a pic of the legshields Dave......I need a laugh!

People will be too busy laughing at Daves leg shields to notice a small gap near the tank :D
